Faculty Forum: Digital Publishing at Brown: A New Vision for Islamic Pasts and Futures

This forum will present a digital monograph — developed as part of the library’s Mellon Foundation-supported Digital Publications Initiative — that invites readers to imagine Islam as a vast net of interconnected traces that appear different depending on the vantage from which they are seen. Interpreting stories and images while attending to methods of interpretation, the born-digital book presents historical details and informed arguments to encourage new worldwide communities of understanding.
