Moderated by Dr. Patricia Poitevien, vice president for campus life, this conversation will feature Anthony Medieros, director of the Community Dialogue Project; Mary Jordan, director of new student programs and community initiatives; Scott Helfrich, director of residential education; Joie Forte, senior associate dean and director of student activities; and Caitlin O’Neill, director of the LGBTQ Center.
Brown 2026 Forum: An Evening with Ken Burns

In partnership with Brown 2026, a university-wide initiative to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, this evening will offer an exclusive preview of his upcoming film, “The American Revolution,” followed by a conversation between Burns and President Christina H. Paxson about the filmmaking process and the enduring legacy of the American Revolution. Don't miss this opportunity to delve into one of the most transformative periods in world history with one of its most celebrated chroniclers.
Ken Burns is an American filmmaker and Emmy and Peabody award winner, known for his acclaimed historical documentaries and television series that chronicle American history and culture. His newest film, “The American Revolution,” examines how America’s founding turned the world upside down. Burns received an honorary degree from Brown in 2019.
Family Weekend Movie Night on the Green: “Hamilton,” Act 1

Featuring the musical movie sensation “Hamilton.” In this electrifying first act, we’ll meet a young, ambitious immigrant named Alexander Hamilton who arrives in New York with nothing but his intelligence and a relentless drive. Watch as he navigates the political turmoil of the American Revolution, forming crucial alliances with figures like the Marquis de Lafayette (played by Brown graduate Daveed Diggs). Faculty Research Forum: “Navigating the Undergraduate Research Ecosystem at Brown”

There are many different ways by which students can engage in undergraduate research at Brown. In this moderated session, faculty panelists Ian Dell’Antonio, professor of physics, Joo-Hyun Song, associate professor of cognitive and psychological sciences, and Elena Shih, associate professor of American and ethnic studies will have a conversation about the undergraduate research experience at Brown. The panel will be moderated by Oludurotimi Adetunji, associate dean for undergraduate research and inclusive science, after a brief introductory remark.
Football Game: Brown Bears vs. Princeton Tigers

Come cheer on the Brown Bears as they take on the Princeton Tigers. Tickets are available for purchase at the Athletics ticketing website. Use promo code FW25 for discounted tickets. Shuttle service runs to and from Brown Stadium, stopping at Faunce Arch (75 Waterman St.) and behind the Erickson Athletics Complex (279 Lloyd Ave.), and is free for all fans. Buses run approximately every 15 to 20 minutes on a loop, beginning two hours before kickoff. Return trips are available for approximately 30 minutes after the game.
